$10,520 in Grants Awarded to San Juan County Nonprofits

Awards Celebration to be Hosted by Citizens State Bank

November 1, 2025 | Silverton, CO The San Juan County Community Fund (SJCCF) has awarded $10,520 in grants to four nonprofits serving San Juan County. Now in its seventh year of grantmaking, SJCCF strengthens local programs and organizations thanks to generous support from Citizens State Bank, the Western Colorado Community Foundation/Dave and Mary Wood Fund, and caring community donors.

A steering committee of San Juan County residents reviewed applications and awarded funding to initiatives that contribute to the community’s vibrancy and resilience. To date, SJCCF has awarded more than $90,000 to support local priorities.

2025 Grant Recipients:

  • San Juan Development Association – General Operating Support
  • Silverton Creative District – Silverton Mountainfilm on Tour and General Operating Support
  • Silverton San Juan County Ambulance Association – Replacement of Medical Training Equipment
  • Silverton Singletrack Society – Baker’s Park Trail System, Phase 2

Citizens State Bank will host a Grant Awards Celebration on Thursday, November 7 at 10:00 a.m. at its new Green Street location in Silverton, where this year’s grantees will be recognized.

Established in 2018 by local leaders, the San Juan County Community Fund is a permanent, endowed fund that builds local resources for the benefit of San Juan County residents. The fund is managed in partnership with the Western Colorado Community Foundation (WCCF), which provides expertise and stewardship to grow the endowment and distribute earnings annually. Citizens State Bank is a founding donor and ongoing partner, helping make this community-driven effort possible.
