LEADERSHIP WORK

COMMUNITY INITIATIVES

In 2014 we launched our first initiative and now have three exciting leadership initiatives meeting current needs in our communities – Hunger, CORE (Conservation, Outdoor Recreation, and Environment), and YouthStrong. Community leadership work goes deep, is long lasting, and has the potential to spur long-term change. Our Community Foundation is a convener, connector, and collaborator, providing technical assistance to non-profits, and resources to partners working in areas related to our leadership work.

At the Western Colorado Community Foundation (WCCF), we believe in the power of philanthropy to change communities.

We invest charitable funds from caring donors into the work of reputable nonprofits.

We strengthen nonprofits to improve their capacity to better help those they serve.

We influence community impact by teaming with strategic partners to make long-term investments around regional initiatives.

We believe that WCCF’s role in building partnerships, developing funding strategies, creating learning communities, and convening leaders around community issues, is essential for the sustainability of western Colorado’s communities.
