About Two Rivers Unrestricted Endowment (T.R.U.E) Grants Fund

Two Rivers Community Foundation (2RCF) partnered with the Western Colorado Community Foundation in 2017 to establish the T.R.U.E Grants Fund, a permanent charitable endowment that distributes annual grants into the community.

Since its establishment in 2017, the T.R.U.R Grants Fund has distributed $ 68,250. in grants to nonprofits in communities from Carbondale to New Castle.

The T.R.U.E Grants Fund is a charitable investment account to benefit the people of Carbondale, Glenwood Springs, and New Castle. Donations are used to support local nonprofit organizations and community improvement projects through a competitive grants application process. A local steering committee made up of community leaders reviews applications and awards grants once a year.

Community-minded donors who share a connection to the place they live and a commitment to making their community better can make contributions of any size.

Since 2017 the T.R.U.E Grants fund has granted $99,235 to area nonprofits. View 2024 grant recipients here. 

The application process for 2025 will open August 2025 

Your donation allows us to respond to a broad range of community issues, including supporting nonprofits to expand services and meet needs in Carbondale, Glenwood Springs, and New Castle…now and for years to come.

Donations of any size are appreciated and are tax deductible. You can write a check, donate appreciated stock, or make a qualified charitable distribution from your IRA to support the T.R.U.E. Grants Fund.

You might want to consider leaving a gift as part of your will or estate plan. This can be as simple as naming WCCF/T.R.U.E. Grants Fund as the charitable beneficiary of your IRA, other bank/investment accounts, or in your will.
