Our Local Community Funds (LCF’s), also known as Geographic Funds, have grown over the years and include six funds serving specific towns and counties in our region. These funds were established as an endowed, permanent fund by local community leaders in the areas they live. Western Colorado Community Foundation manages the back-office and administration of these funds, while local community leaders raise funds, review applications, and distribute grants to benefit the places they call home.

This year, between these six funds, $119,850 was distributed to 61 deserving nonprofits in the Austin, Cedaredge, Cory Eckert and Orchard City (Surface Creek), Crawford, Hotchkiss and Paonia (West Elk), Ridgway and Ouray (Ouray County CF), Carbondale, Glenwood Springs and New Castle (T.R.U.E.), Silverton (San Juan County CF), and Parachute to Battlement Mesa (Mt. Callahan).
