The 2025 fire season has been unprecedented for the communities of Western Colorado. As firefighters and first responders work to contain the Elk and Lee fires in Rio Blanco County, the Yampa Valley Community Foundation has established the Yampa Valley Disaster Recovery Fund to assist the people and places impacted by the fires and support the long-term recovery efforts.
