The Clough Fellows Scholarship Fund anniversary party was held at the Colorado Mountain College, Rifle Campus.
The 17th anniversary celebration of the Clough Fellows Scholarship Fund was a joyous occasion marked by gratitude, reflection, and a commitment to the future. Hosted at the newly renovated reception area of the Colorado Mountain College, Rifle Campus, the event brought together the family of the donor, Mrs. Genevieve Clough represented by her granddaughter, Stormy Anderson who sits on the Scholarship Committee, other volunteer Committee members, educators, and community members along with past and current Clough Fellows, recipients of this scholarship, to commemorate a milestone in supporting education and opportunity.
This fund, managed by WCCF, was created by Mrs. Genevieve Clough in 2007 for graduating seniors from Rifle, Parachute, and New Castle High Schools so that they may have A Chance to Succeed.
Since its inception, almost $8 million has been distributed on behalf of 790 students attending 39 different colleges. These scholarships have not only provided financial support but have also empowered recipients to achieve their academic dreams and contribute positively to their families and communities.
Two scholarship recipients shared inspiring stories of how the fund has transformed their lives. Their personal anecdotes underscored the importance of financial support in pursuing educational dreams.
Everyone extended their gratitude to Mrs. Clough for her vision and continuous generosity. Many mentioned that being part of this program has been a privilege, allowing them to make a positive impact on aspiring students’ lives and contribute to a brighter future.
