Support your favorite group working to address hunger
Our Community Foundation is grateful to the Western Slope’s food pantries, churches, and organizations working to support families and alleviate hunger. During Hunger Action Month please consider supporting your favorite hunger relief group, through a donation of time, talent or treasure. To find organizations in your area, visit 2-1-1’s website.
The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel highlighted various hunger relief organizations in the Grand Valley on their front page on August 29, touching upon the various factors that have led to increased food prices and how the local community has stepped up. If you know someone who could use support right now, Hunger Free Colorado has a Food Finder webpage, with many resources.
