GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KKCO/KJCT)– Students at Central High School showed off their new STEM lab Friday. The school’s science, technology, engineering, and math department held an open house to celebrate what your donations helped them accomplish.

Folks and sponsors were able to look around the lab and actually see the robot they’re creating, which can pick up a block by itself without the students controlling it.

“Robots and robotics is what our society is moving towards. Having less human labor but more efficient robotic labor,” said CHS 10th grader Cora Perkins.

They’ll be using their robot for competitions coming up in January.
