Viewers across Colorado responded generously by raising over $55,000 through the Word of Thanks campaign with Kyle Clark of 9News. The Western Slope TRY (Together for Resilient Youth) campaign benefits Friends of Youth and Nature in Delta/Montrose, Eureka! McConnell Science Museum/Gear Up! and YouthZone in Garfield County. These organizations will each receive a grant for $18,800 to help at-risk youth build confidence and resilience. Our Community Foundation is pleased to report that 1870 people responded with donations ranging from $5.00 to $1,000. A WCCF donor kicked off the campaign with a generous donation of $5,000 to kick start the effort. Our Community Foundation extends many Words of Thanks to Mr. Clark, 9News viewers and everyone who donated to the campaign.
