Congratulations on your charitable grant!

The Western Colorado Community Foundation (WCCF) recommends recipients  publicize their grant to inform the community about their work and inspire continuing support. Such usage will help connect your organization to our community foundation, and donors, to bolster awareness for further funding or donor opportunities. We encourage you to leverage social media by following our pages, showing your Grant-itude for your recently awarded funds, and/or letting us know how these dollars will help you accomplish your goals! Please acknowledge your organization’s grant in one or more of the following ways:

SEND A PRESS RELEASE
Send out a press release to local news organizations to inform them about your project and the supporting WCCF grant. A list of press release templates can be found below. Boilerplate language about WCCF is included in the press release template and found below. WCCF would be happy to provide a quote for your press release.

SHARE WITH YOUR ESTABLISHED AUDIENCES
We encourage your organization to share information about your grant through the methods you typically use to communicate with your followers, such as newsletters (print or digital), annual reports, and social media. When announcing the grant on social media, make sure to tag us in your posts. Using great images can help boost interest in social media content; we’re happy to help create images, infographics, and photo layouts for your social media feeds — contact us.

LOGO USAGE GUIDELINES
Use your organization’s logo and WCCF’s logo (and/or the logo from the specific fund managed by our foundation from which you received the grant) at the top of the press release. A sample press release along with high-quality horizontal and vertical versions of WCCF’s and Fund logos can be found on this page. WCCF prefers you use the horizontal logo version whenever possible. Vector versions may be obtained by contacting Renee Smith. Grantees may not alter the appearance (color, clarity, fonts, etc.) of WCCF’s or any other Fund logo in any way.

PRESS CONFERENCES, PHOTO-OPS, & MORE
WCCF regularly shares news about grantees’ efforts through our e-newsletters, website, and social media. We want to help your organization publicize your work in compelling and creative ways. We are happy to come to your office or project site for a “big check” or other type of photo op — contact us to discuss possibilities!
