Don’t miss this cram-packed-with-information workshop!!!  You’ll benefit from this solid overview of the how-to for obtaining grant revenues for nonprofit and governmental organizations.  Areas to be discussed include trends in charitable giving and government support, finding funders, developing relationships with funders, writing the grant application, the role of grants in an overall fundraising strategy and managing grant income.

An added feature of the day will be a short discussion of “Grant Writing for Freelancers.”  During this session, we’ll talk about how to become a successful paid grant writer as an independent contractor.  Discussion topics include market demand for grant writing, finding and managing a variety of clients, fees structure and being a “value added” contractor.

Course instructor is Illene Roggensack, owner of Third Sector Innovations, consulting firm to nonprofit organizations.  Ms. Roggensack has taught grant writing for more than 20 years and has secured tens of millions of dollars in private and public grants.  She additionally works with a broad variety of organizations in fundraising, board development, strategic planning and organizational excellence.
