Impact: Local Community Funds
Since 1996, with the help of hundreds of generous donors, our Community Foundation has invested nearly $0 million in grants and scholarships to improve our communities. The chart on the right shows what types of programs the grants went to support last year. Click here to see 2020 grants totaling $4.2 million
Since 2002, our Community Foundation has partnered with local steering committees within our seven-county region to create Local Community Funds (LCFs). These funds support nonprofits and programs in their areas. This “give where you live” philosophy has resonated for the community members there who value their homes and want to preserve and grow everything that makes their region the place they love to live. Check out the posts below to learn a little more about each of our LCFs (and a couple other community-focused funds).
Organizations seeking grant funding should check out our grantmaking page; there, you’ll learn more about opportunities which may suit your organizations needs. Alternatively, you can always fill out a request for funding to ensure that we have your organizations information on file in case a donor’s interests match your needs.
The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog.

Impact by County
Click on the tabs below to see our work in the counties that we serve. In some counties WCCF has one or several Local Community Funds that we help to grow and manage. In other counties we work with the established Community Foundation to collaborate and build on resources to support community needs. Please see our grantmaking page for opportunities to apply for grants through the different local community funds that we partner with.
